Tom Watkins – The Big White House Having moved from London to East Sussex I was hugely sceptical about finding top quality craftsmen in my newly adopted area. Much of our old and existing furniture needed completely renovating to fit in with the newly designed GRAND DESIGN house we were constructing. Upholsterers were on the top of our targeted trades. When we got news of such local talent, discovering RANDOM upholstery and the skills of Rob Ferguson was nothing short of miraculous. Nothing was too much trouble or effort. Fabric and leather samples quickly and expertly sourced. Pick-up and delivery effortlessly carried out. Deadlines and specific details all cleverly met with ease and speed. From the very first re-upholstery job to the recent construction of an entire cow-hide corner sofa. We delight in this man’s abilities. We have recommended him to literally all our fellow designer friends, knowing that for once we are not going to regret this introduction to excellence and reasonable pricing. Just to thank you once again for the excellent re-upholstery work you did on my three piece suite. I was concerned that being a deep button back suite, the re-upholstery would not do justice to the original look of the suite. However, I am very pleased to say that the finished look is excellent. I was unsure in my choice of fabric and colour tone, but once again, your experience and advice proved to be exactly right and produced a finished article that far exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend your services, as it is a real pleasure to find a company that lives up to its promises, completes a job within agreed timescales and shows professionalism from start to finish. We were given a black leather settee by a relative. However, one of the arms was damaged and needed to be recovered. We contacted Random Upholstery and Rob came to look at the work required. Once he had supplied the swatch of leather that he thought best matched the existing, we arranged for Rob to collect the settee. When we got the settee back we were amazed that we could not tell the difference between the original leather and the new. A very professional job. Hastings House Our first bedroom refurbishment project, employing Rob to create a bespoke headboard and matching throw for our boutique room has been a great success. We have had numerous comments about the quality and standard of work. We are now in our second project which I have no doubt will be even better than the first.
